Dr. David A. Gordon

Dr. David A. Gordon received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from UC Davis in 1977. His degree in veterinary medicine took a circuitous route, first starting in California and ending in Italy where he graduated from the University of Perugia in 1983. After completing his small animal medical/surgical internship at Bay Cities Pet Hospital in Torrance, California, Dr. Gordon began his professional career as an associate at AnaBrook Animal Hospital in Anaheim from 1985-1987. From 1987 to the present, Dr.Gordon has been the owner and associate of 3 veterinary hospitals: Arroyo Animal Hospital in Lake Forest, Oceanside Veterinary Hospital in Oceanside, and Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital in Poway. He believes he has found his final destination at Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Gordon is a member of many professional organizations including the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the California VMA, the Southern California VMA, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, the American Association of Veterinary Acupuncture, and the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Gordon has now “gone back to his roots” to form the type of veterinary hospital he has always envisioned, emphasizing old fashioned courtesy, care, and value. Dr. Gordon enjoys all facets of small animal veterinary medicine but has developed a special interest in holistic medical therapies (acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, therapeutic laser, homeopathy, nutrition, stem cell therapy, and platelet enhancement therapy). In this way, he feels he is able to offer the best in both traditional and alternative care.

Dr. Gordon is a veterinarian who consults with other veterinarians regarding holistic care. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, fishing, physical fitness, and music.
